THE PERSON BEHIND THE JOURNEY
Our Founder’s Story
At thirteen, I left my village for Kampala in search of a better future. My education was interrupted as I worked to pay school fees, until I met missionaries who welcomed me as a son and supported my schooling. Their kindness remains an important part of who I am today.
Through perseverance, I built a life in business. In 2016, I bought my first car for self-drive hire. A friend from Yala Safaris encouraged me to enter tourism and offered to train me. Travelling together across Uganda, I gained the experience and confidence to become a safari guide.
That journey laid the foundation for Gari Trips Uganda. Today, I bring the same determination, gratitude, and personal care to every guest we welcome.

Gari Trips Uganda is a Ugandan tour and vehicle hire company founded and led by Immanuel Wamba, a director and experienced travel guide.
Formerly Wamba Gorilla Tours Ltd, we became Gari Trips Uganda as our services grew to include private wildlife safaris, self-drive adventures, guided vehicle hire and cultural experiences.
We are licensed by the Uganda Tourism Board. From our base in Kansanga, Kampala, we help travellers discover Uganda with local knowledge and a personal approach.
